The RAF and kettlebells...
5am in the morning is usually not a good time to be awake. A two and a half hour car journey around the M25 is usually not top of my list of fun things to do.
But I could live with that as we had been invited to train the PTI team at RAF Brize Norton!
After negotiating armed guards, scary looking security cameras and having our photographs taken we met up with the team of eight PTI and took them through some corrective exercise strategies and their kettlebell paces.
The team trained hard as you'd expect and loved everything we threw at them, from VO2MAX training to snatch ladders with squat thrusts replacing rest. (Quirky, we salute you...you're officially nuts!)
Pictures to follow!
